After releasing a collaboration with partner in crime Dannic, The mastermind behind Revealed Recordings is back with another collaborative banger, working with another one of his young friends. This time, the Dutchman is working with fellow countrymen Dyro, and American vocalist, Heather Bright. Debuted at Ultra, this track is one of the most anticipated releases of the late spring/early summer season. In fact, Hardwell even used the track as the backing for his UMF 2013 aftermovie, viewable below.

One of the biggest ID tracks of summer 2012 was DubVision’s take on Discopolis’ “Committed to Sparkle Motion”. Receiving its first support from Axwell, the track went on to be supported by big names like Sebastian Ingrosso, Nicky Romero, and David Guetta. Axtone label boss Axwell decided to release this track again, as part of an EP. It received a different title, “Falling,” with a parenthetical title of “Committed to Sparkle Motion”.

Pedro Henriques, better known to the world as Henrix, is back in EDM spotlight once again. After releasing “Hit It!” (with GTA & Digital LAB) on ex-SHM member Steve Angello’s Size Records with great success (56 plays in the last month), the 27-year-old releases a three track EP on Laidback Luke’s Mixmash Records. The EP is made up of 2 original tracks and 1 collaboration with fellow young-gun, Jakob Liedholm. Each track has its own great vibe, and should be able to satisfy any DJ looking for tracks. The Canadian duo hits us with another dose of awesome, releasing 5 previously exclusive edits to the masses. In my opinion, the edits are really great and I plan to support them in my next few mixes. Check them out on SoundCloud below:

Arguably the biggest track of the festival season of 2012, “Reload” is adding another dimension, and looks to become bigger than ever. Hoping to follow the success that “Calling” received with a vocal mix, Ingrosso has called upon Swedish House Mafia vocalist John Martin to provide vocals over “Reload”. Receiving the same treatment that the “Calling” vocal mix got, this new take on “Reload” was played as the Essential New Tune on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection show on BBC Radio 1. John Martin’s unmistakeable voice and emotional tone take the track to a new level, allowing it to create emotional connections that only vocal songs can.

I’ve had the privilege of being acquainted with the music of London-based producer Special Features for over a year now. I first encountered his music through a friend, who showed me his remix of “Strobe” by deadmau5. Featuring a high and melodic progressive synth, Special Features has really created a trademark sound for himself, and has especially caught the eye of Chuckie, who owns Big Beat Records.

First of all, Hardwell releases the official music video for his track “Apollo,” which was a collaboration between the Dutch producer and Australian vocalist, Amba Shepherd. I found it to be quite powerful, but I was having a rough day when I saw it. Check it out for yourselves, the video features the radio edit of the track.

Now, to the remix package. With mixes from Dash Berlin, Lucky Date, Noisecontrollers, and Psychic Type, Hardwell succeeds once again in providing a great variety of artists to remix his tracks. Unlike the “Spaceman” remix package, there are other official house remixes on this EP. Read up after the break!

Swanky Tunes continue to push the bar higher and higher in vocal electro music. After their track “You Are Like Nobody Else” with Peking Duk featuring vocalist James McNally, the Russian trio has collaborated with Toronto-based group DVBBS, and fellow Russian EITRO to release “We Know, ” on Swanky Tunes’ Showland label. After some nice-sounding male vocals, some crazy vocal loops set in, along with a very wild melody. The trademark pulsating bassline of Swanky Tunes makes another perennial appearance on this track.

Known for their melodic but banging sound, and more famous than ever due to Axwell’s support of their take of Discopolis’ “Committed to Sparkle Motion,” the Dutch brothers who make up DubVision have released their follow up single “Redux” on Spinnin. While they have been criticized for having a repetitive sound, their popularity continues to soar, as they begin to make name for themselves in the progressive house industry.
