With the memory of Ultra Miami 2013 still fresh in our minds, there were a few songs that made the festival as crazy and as memorable as it was. 5. Bingo Players – Rattle (8x)
Even though it was released in October 2011, “Rattle” still places at #77 (as of March 25) in the electro house charts of Beatport. For the third year in a row, this track is played out to great success by DJs such as Avicii, Quintino, Laidback Luke, and the Bingo Players themselves. Track is available on Beatport!
4. GTA & Digital LAB & Henrix – Hit It! (11x)
Coming in in the number four slot are three youngsters from Miami, releasing for the first time on Size Records. Hit It was first played in September 2012, as a great sounding ID track at the Electric Zoo Festival in NYC. After two weekends, it was played 11 times, by the likes of Martin Solveig, David Guetta, and Fedde le Grand.
3. Showtek & Justin Prime – Cannonball (11x)
The familiar sounds of Cannonball have been heard for a while now. First introduced in September 2012, also at Electric Zoo Festival, the infectious electro sound combined with Showtek’s traditional use of a sample before the drop made this song a favorite during the winter time. Support at UMF 2013 came from Afrojack, Clockwork, and Chuckie.
2. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike – Wakanda (11x)
What’s that big electro song with those tribal samples? You know you’ve heard it, it’s from the Belgians: Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Their SHM approved banger, titled Wakanda, has been rocking dance floors ever since the summer, where it was unveiled as an ID track in Stockholm. With support from Sander van Doorn, Deniz Koyu, and the Swedish House Mafia themselves, Wakanda proved to be quite a formidable track during UMF.
1. W&W & Ummet Ozcan – The Code (12x)
The champion of UMF Miami 2013 is a Dutch trio, made up of trance/electro group W&W working together with fellow Dutchman Ummet Ozcan. for both had previously been links to trance, they decided to try something new with The Code. What resulted, is a track that absolutely smashed during the festival season. The track was Revealed (see what I did there? ) by Hardwell during his ADE set at Escape, and had people buzzing on the Internet almost instantly. With 12 plays, and support from Nicky Romero, Sidney Samson, and Hardwell himself, The Code definitely deserves to be the #1 track of UMF Miami 2013.
